Preliminary unofficial and partial results of the parliamentary elections in the European country of Albania state that the ruling Socialist Party is still ahead of all other parties. According to the country’s broadcaster, the Socialist Party has so far received 46.9 percent of the vote. The opposition Democratic Party received 43.5 percent of the vote. Public support for the Socialist Party’s coalition for social integration is about 6 percent. It is unclear whether Socialist Prime Minister Edi Rama will be able to head the government for the third time in a row.
