Warplanes also bombed targets in the northeastern Gaza Strip of Jabal al-Rayes, but no casualties were reported. Earlier, the Israeli military said rockets fired from Gaza into southern Israel forced many families to seek refuge in special safe havens. Some of these rockets exploded in the air before reaching Israeli territory, while others were defused by the Iron Dome air defense system. On the other hand, the resistance organization Abu Ali Mustapha Brigades claimed responsibility for the rockets fired at Israel.
