The Election Commission passed the nomination papers of Dr. Arif Alvi, Aitzaz Ahsan, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Amir-ul-Haq for Presidential elections. Chief Election Commissioner scored the papers of Returning Officer presidential candidates. Nomination papers were nominated for Imran Ahmad, Mir Afzal, Hilal Rehman, Amjad Afridi, presidential candidate for Mohammad Ashfaq; the papers were rejected after Imran Khan’s support and proposal were not presented. Remember, the Election Commission finalized all the arrangements for the presidential elections on September 4. According to the Election Commission spokesman Altaf Ahmad Khan, the Parliamentary House, Islamabad, Punjab Assembly Lahore, Sindh Assembly Karachi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Peshawar and Balochistan Assembly Quetta will be held in five places. Former secretary of the Election Commission Kanwar Dilshad said that the President will be elected under the secret ballot through the Electoral College, which consists of National Assembly, Senate and all four provincial assemblies. Kanwar Dilshad said that after the 18th constitutional amendment, the powers of dissolution of the President in general have expired. He said that it is a routine practice that President always comes from ruling party.
