Munir Akram appointed Permanent Representative of the United Nations in place of Maliha Lodhi

UN Secretary-General Milia Lodhi has been removed and replaced by Munir Akram. In different countries, the positions of ambassador and consul general have also been changed. According to Foreign Office spokesman DGN Khalil Ahmed Hashmi has been appointed permanent representative in Geneva, in Pyongyang, Nazim Elmore Syed Sajjad Haider has been appointed ambassador to Kuwait. In Toronto, Consul General Imran Siddiqui has been appointed Pakistani High Commissioner in Dhaka. Additional Secretary Mohammad Ejaz to be Pakistan’s Ambassador to Hungary, the embassy of the Pakistani Embassy in Niger, Ahsan K Wagon, has been posted as an ambassador to Muscat, Oman.
