The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has selected Mr Kristalina Georgieva to serve as the new Managing Director and Chairman of the Executive Board of the IMF for five years. Kristalina Georgieva will assume charge on October 1, 2019 his term as MDIMF appointment will start from October 1, 2019. IMF’s new MD says it is a great honor to be elected IMF MD and it is a great responsibility of them to be elected MD at a time when global economic growth is consistently disappointing and trade tensions are high, while debt is at historically high levels.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) announced last night that the IMF Executive Board had appointed Miss Kristalina Georgieva as the new Managing Director and Executive Board of the IMF for five years. Elected to the position of Chairman and after Christine Lagarde Miss Kristalina Georgieva appointed MD of the IMF Miss Kristalina Georgieva is the first person to relate to the emerging market economy since its emergence in the Emerging Markets in 1944.  He is going to lead the IMF.
