Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has condemned the recent attack on Saudi oil installations in a speech to the UN General Assembly; he also talked about Iran and North Korea. Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said the attack on Saudi Arabia’s oil installations was a scathing operation that took the international economic system hostage. Iran’s spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has told me directly that their country has given them a fatwa to refrain from three things, namely neither possessing, possessing or using nuclear weapons. I believe his words are trustworthy. This morning I met Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, who was my 9th meeting with him. My role in telling the big country Iran to act in accordance with its great historical traditions has not changed.

Shinzo Abe also praised US President Donald Trump’s efforts to resolve issues with North Korea and said he was ready to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Prime Minister Abe said, President Trump’s manner in which leaders of the two countries talk sincerely and are optimistic about the future while trying to solve urgent problems, corrected North Korea’s power deterioration. I am determined to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un unconditionally. Japan seeks comprehensive resolution of North Korea’s abduction of Japanese nationals, its nuclear and missile development and other related issues. We also hope to establish normal relations by resolving the mutual bitter past of the two countries. This is our irresistible target.

Abe also mentioned Japanese support for Africa. At a meeting held last month with Japanese and African business leaders in Yokohama, new investment plans and plans were made in Africa, he said. Japan will play a leading role in promoting and empowering girls and women in the world, Abe said.
