Tigray State … News Time

In the Ethiopian state of Tigray region, the government and the people are facing each other and hundreds of people have been killed on the spot as a result of the shelling of the forces. Eyewitnesses say that government forces rained bullets on the people and members of the People’s Liberation Front (PLF) in public and in public, leaving dozens of people dead. For about a week now, forces have been conducting air and ground operations in the Tigray region, forcing people to surrender at gunpoint. While the government has denied the incident, the news of such a large number of deaths has been called a lie. The government has also shut down telephone lines and internet services across the country to keep news of the country’s civil war out. A civil war erupted last week between the government and the protesting people, which are now turning bloody.

The quarrel between the Ethiopian government and the TPLF is quite old. Because the TPLF ruled the Tigray region for a long time and the current government cut them off and restricted them. The fighting began in 2018 when Abiy Ahmed became the country’s prime minister. At that time, the TPLF was a major ally with Abiy Ahmed because it also had a majority of votes. Later, however, conflicts arose between the government and the coalition, and the gulf between them widened, resulting in a massacre. The situation in the country is deteriorating and a major tragedy could happen at any time as the situation of civil war still exists. The government is not backing down from its position, nor is it taking the name of stopping the Liberation Movement. According to a report, more than 100 people were killed on the spot in the massacre that took place yesterday while many more were seriously injured.
