From 2010 to 2019, 1110 Indian soldiers committed suicide, including Air Force and Navy personnel. According to the Indian Ministry of Defense, during the last few years, several steps have been taken to reduce the tension among the soldiers these include counseling, yoga as well as food, clothing, housing and holiday policy complaints. However, further steps need to be taken. According to the Indian newspaper, from 2010 to 2019, there were 895 reports in the evil army of India, 185 in the air force and 32 in the Navy. Duty soldiers have a global problem while under stress.

US forces are also trying to tackle the rising suicide problem, where 541 suicide cases were reported in 2018. The suicide rate in the US forces this year was 24.8 per million, up from 21.9 in 2017. The suicide rate in the Indian Army is 16.5 per lakh, which is alarming because the soldiers do not face extreme poverty, unemployment, farming problems and so on which is one of the major reasons for the trend of suicide among India Occupied  and Kashmir and the northeastern states adversely affect the physical and mental health of the soldiers. They suffer from stress due to problems in their families; these include property and financial issues as well as financial and marital issues. A senior officer said 24 hours because of a mobile phone contact with the family is causing tensions in the military. Police and local authorities often ignore complaints from soldiers and their families. The first battalion commander could have solved the personal problems of the soldiers by talking to the civil administration, but that’s not the case anymore.

According to a study by the Defense Institute of Psychological Research, humiliation and harassment by senior officers often lead to suicide among soldiers. According to the Defense Ministry, according to various studies since 2006, domestic and personal problems, marital differences, pressure, health and financial problems are the main reasons for suicide among the soldiers.
