The European Union (EU) has once again rejected a plot to annex Palestinian territories occupied by the Zionist state to Israel in the 1967 war. In this regard, the European Union says that Israel’s sovereignty over the West Bank and any Palestinian and Arab territory occupied during the 1967 war will not be recognized. EU High Representative for Political and Security Policy Josep Borrell said in a statement that the EU member states’ position on West Jordan was clear. That has not changed. We will not accept any measure of Israeli sovereignty over the territories occupied by Israel in the 1967 war. He said the annexation of West Jordan to Israel would violate international law and international resolutions, and that the European Union would not accept any such move. Josep Borrell said the European Union had not constitutionally recognized Israel’s domination of West Jordan. The European official called the plan to annex any part of West Jordan to Israel a violation of international law. It should be noted that this development has come at a time when the Israeli government is working on a plan to annex the Jewish colonies in the occupied West Bank and the Jordan Valley into the Zionist state. The United States has also backed the announcement of an Israeli extremist and racist government.
