According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Chinese President Xi Jinping will meet Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe next week. Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Luo Zhaohui told reporters on Thursday. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visits China from Monday to Wednesday. In the meantime, he will hold a trilateral meeting with South Korean and Chinese leaders in Chengdu in Sichuan Province on Tuesday. According to sources, Abe will meet Shi in Beijing on Monday. They are also expected to discuss Shi’s official visit to Japan next spring. Luo Zhaohui said China; Japan and South Korea leaders will seek to strengthen strategic links and discuss ways to improve co-operation in the wider fields. Luo Zhaohui added that the three leaders will also accelerate negotiations for a trilateral free trade agreement and discuss the situation in the Korean Peninsula.
