Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to China and the creation of the C-Peak Authority has raised the possibility of a $ 50 billion investment restoration. The C-Peak project plays a vital role in the rapid development of the Pakistani economy, which can be fully utilized to expand foreign investment and industrialization in Pakistan. Asim Azim Siddiqui, former chairman of the All Pakistan Shipping Association, spoke to express in this regard. That the Federal Government’s actions, especially Federal Minister of Naval Affairs Ali Zaidi  and with the Minister of Revenue Hamad Azhar’s speedy monitoring and working-level meetings of C-Pack projects and Gwadar port development activities, Gwadar Port’s jump is expected to be a start.

He said that now China will start construction on Gwadar Port and investment in Chinese Free Zone will also start. This will create new industries because when the industry starts, other industries associated with it are formed. This will give people more jobs and the government will also start earning revenue. Asim Azim Siddiqui said that Chinese officials have assured that during the recent visit of the Prime Minister in Gwadar’s plans, priority will be given to providing employment to the local people. Chinese authorities have also claimed that Gwadar will become the richest city in the future due to developmental industrial and investment activities.

The former chairman of the Shipping Association said that the recent steps taken by the government seem to be completing the C-Pack project faster and improving the domestic economy. He said that an ordinance has been issued by President Pakistan in this regard under which the full exemption of duties and taxes has been granted on the consignments of various goods imported through Gwadar Port. Just as the Export Processing Zone had its status and now we expect the fast exporting companies to invest in Gwadar. And new industries will be created in Gwadar which will provide employment to the locals. He said Balochistan government was concerned that locals would not be provided jobs in Gwadar but China has clearly assured that most jobs will be provided to locals in the industries established in Gwadar. This will improve the condition of the locals and will improve the economic situation of Balochistan and Pakistan in a short time.

Asim Siddiqui said that Prime Minister Imran Khan also held an investment conference at CCPIT where the Prime Minister of Pakistan has assured Chinese investors that now all the work in Gwadar will be carried out faster. He said that an authority has also been established under which Chinese investors will work. He said it was a good thing that the government is now showing interest in completing the C-Pack project. So that the project can be completed as soon as possible and the economic conditions of the country will improve.
