The first train service has started from Mecca to Medina, and the fastest train set 450 km (281 miles) in just 2 hours and 52 minutes. According to the foreign news agency, a fastest train service in Saudi Arabia has started a regular start. The fastest train on the new track, from Mecca to Medina, made its first trip, and set 450 kilometers away of two cities in two hours in 52 minutes. Al-Shoula, spokesperson of the Saudi-Spanish consortium responsible for the project, says a 450-km journey from Mecca to Medina will also train a train on a number of 300 km (180) miles per hour. Authorities say the train will pass through Jeddah coastal and important commercial city of Saudi Arabia and will prove to be beneficial for pilgrims to Hajjaj Karam.
