He praised Japan’s role in the development of Pakistan and said that there is a desire to increase cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, infrastructure development. He said there are numerous occasions in Pakistan due to the improvement in security situation and economic development. He said that the Jetro Institute’s survey states that Pakistan is the best country for Japanese investment and business. He welcomed the Japanese Prime Minister’s statement about working closely with all the countries to develop Infrastructure.

Japan’s Foreign Minister Taro Kono gave the message of good wishes from the Prime Minister of Japan and said Japan will continue working closely with Pakistan to strengthen bilateral ties. Taro Kono said that Pakistan wants to enhance security cooperation, He praised Pakistan’s role in the fight against terrorism. He acknowledged untouchable sacrifices from Japan, Pakistan to endanger terrorism from the region and extremism. Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that Pakistan is committed to the war of terrorism and extremism. He said that Pakistan is also committed to promoting peace and stability in the region. He informed Japanese Foreign Minister Tararo Kuno to take steps to contact with neighboring countries. Prime Minister said that Delhi is getting rid of talks. Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono visited Pakistan’s two-day visit, on Thursday along with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif and Army Chief General Qamar Javad Bajwa. According to his engagement, Japanese Foreign Minister Deputy spokesman Toshihide Ando said Japan’s Foreign Minister Taro Kono met with Foreign Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif for two hours and ten minutes, which continued on working lunch. In this meeting, two regional and international issues were discussed. It is Pakistan’s first visit to a Japanese Foreign Minister in 9 years. He said Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono has assured that his country will continue to support the government of Pakistan, the army, the democracy, the law and the next elections. He said that his country’s support for social and economic development in Pakistan has been very important, this series will continue for the development of infrastructure. Japan’s Foreign Minister Taro Kono praised Pakistan’s role in the fight against terrorism and hoped that Pakistan would continue its efforts.

Apart from this, it was also requested to continue the safety of Japanese citizens in Pakistan. He described the Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono on the issue of his country’s position on the North Korea and emphasized that the international community should continue its pressure on North Korea. Pakistan fully assured that he is a supporter of the UN Security Council resolutions on this matter. Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono emphasized Pakistan to cooperate with contracts like CTBT and FMCT. Japanese Foreign Minister Deputy spokesman Toshihide Ando said that Japan’s Foreign Minister also met Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javaid Bajwa. And in the fight against terrorism, describing the role and sacrifices of Pakistan, praising that there is no need for terrorism, Japan strongly condemns terrorism.

General Bajwa informed Pak Army efforts and measures for counter terrorism and thanked Japanese support. He also spoke to General Bajwa regarding reference to Afghanistan, North Korea and the Coalition weapons. On a question, he said that Japan understands that CP will bring stability and prosperity in the region but it should have transparency in ongoing projects, their development should be of global standards and should be financially viable. In response to a question, he said that regional stability is very important for this region.
