Prime Minister Imran Khan met his counterpart Mahathir Mohammed in Putrajaya, Malaysia. Mahathir Muhammad warmly welcomes the Prime Minister upon his arrival at the Prime Minister’s Office, Radio Pakistan reports after that, Imran Khan also recorded his comments in the book of those who met. During the Prime Minister’s visit, a number of MoUs and MoUs are expected to be signed between the two countries in various fields. Imran Khan will also address a think tank event organized by Malaysia’s Institute of Strategic and International Studies. Along with this, they will also highlight the serious human rights situation in occupied Kashmir and due to India’s aggressive behavior; they will emphasize on the peaceful solution of Kashmir problem and eliminate the threats to regional peace and security.

Prime Minister Imran Khan regretted not attending the Kuala Lumpur summit in December last year during his visit to Malaysia. He said there was a misconception in some friendly countries that the conference would divide Muslim Ummah. Prime Minister Imran Khan had an important meeting with his Malaysian counterpart in the Prime Minister’s Office in Patrajaya, Malaysia. Speaking at a joint press conference after the meeting, he said that I wanted to say that I was very sad that I could not attend the conference in Kuala Lumpur in mid-December.

The Prime Minister said that unfortunately some of our friends near Pakistan felt that the conference would probably divide Ummah, which was clearly a misunderstanding because holding the conference shows that it was not the distribution of the Ummah. The Prime Minister said he was looking forward to attending the conference because I understand it is important for Muslim countries to inform the Western world and non-Muslim countries about Islam. He said that in the face of all misunderstandings, whether intentional or unintentional, it is important that Muslim countries convey the true message of our Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him). During the address, he once again regretted not attending the conference in Malaysia. Responding to a question about attending the Kuala Lumpur summit next year, the Prime Minister said that I would (attend) exactly. Because now it is clear that the Kuala Lumpur meeting did not divide Ummah, if anything unites Ummah I would definitely like to come.

Addressing the press conference, the Malaysian Prime Minister said that our partnership is in the interest of the two countries. There is a multilateral relationship between Malaysia and Pakistan. He said that the meeting of mine and Prime Minister Imran Khan had a good dialogue on issues of mutual cooperation as well as regional and international issues. He said that Imran Khan’s visit is a reflection of our shared commitment to further enhance our bilateral relations.

Earlier, he was received by Malaysian Defense Minister Mohammad Sabu and top officials at the Bunga Raya Complex at Kuala Lumpur International Airport for a two-day visit to Malaysia. Pakistan High Commissioner to Malaysia Amina Baloch and other high commission officials were also present on the occasion. Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Planning and Development Minister Asad Omar, Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razzaq Dawood and Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood are accompanied by him. The Prime Minister’s visit is a sign of a strong relationship between Pakistan and Malaysia and a shared commitment to further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
