Presidential elections in Afghanistan have been delayed again and the July elections have been postponed until September 28. According to Afghan media, the Afghan Election Commission has announced a new date for presidential elections; the elections in the beginning of this year were adjourned till July and now it has been scheduled on September 28 after two months delay. The Chairperson of the Election Commission pressed a press conference saying that amendments in contradictory parliamentary elections and election laws are due to the delay in presidential elections, he said that the polling commission would be on September 28 if the stakeholders, international community, especially for the election expenses from the Afghan government, were paid timely on September 28. Chairperson said that presidential elections, provincial and district councils and the parliamentary elections of Ghazni will be jointly on September 28.
