Prime Minister Japan Shinzo Abe told Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas that Japan does not intend to transfer his embassy to Tel Aviv. During the Middle East tour, Shinzo Abe met Palestinian leader in the West Bank. The US acknowledged Jerusalem’s capital in December last December. Shinzo Abe told Abbas that Japan, Israel, is a two-state solution to Palestine disputeunder which Israel and the future Palestinian states remain firmly on the principle of mutual understanding. He said that his government is determined to play an active role in achieving peace in the region. He said that Japan will provide political and financial assistance for the Palestinian state.
