Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will visit China later this month to attend a trilateral summit with Chinese and South Korean leaders. Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga revealed this on Wednesday. Following his statement, the Chinese government announced that the summit will be held December 24 in Sichuan Province, China. Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said that Prime Minister Abe will visit China from December 23-25. He said the meeting is being held on the 20th anniversary of trilateral cooperation. He added that a wide range of current and future issues will be discussed. Yoshihide Suga said that apart from consulting on policy on North Korea, the region and international affairs will also be focused. The spokesperson also revealed that arrangements are also being made for separate meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping of Abe and South Korean President Moon Jae-in.
