Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe may visit these countries next month to seek reconciliation of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates on a government plan to send the aircraft and ships to the Middle East. According to the Japanese Broadcasting Agency, the government is considering departing the aforementioned ships to collect more information to ensure safe transportation to Japan’s commercial ships there. During the expected visit, the Prime Minister will explain that the deployment under consideration will have nothing to do with the US-led coalition for the same purposes. They will also explain that Japan will continue its diplomatic efforts to ease tensions in the region on the basis of its good relations with Japan, the United States and Iran.
