Today is another dark day in the history of occupied Kashmir as the state is being formally divided into two parts Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Under the second phase of elimination of Article 370, the Modi government is implementing Indian laws by splitting Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh into two parts from today. Under the new rules, Hindu citizens of other states have been given the right to buy property and settle in Kashmir. Modi government issues high alert at airports and railway stations in the wake of tensions and Section 144 is also being implemented in the valley. India has appointed Girish Chandra for Jammu and Kashmir and R K Mathur for Ladakh.

According to details, the foreign news agency has said that India wants to strengthen its hold on occupied Kashmir, India has imposed a curfew in Kashmir for the last 3 months, now it has decided to make it a separate federal unit. India sends extra troops along with sanctions; news agency says in occupied Kashmir, there are already 9 lakh troops. The appointment of lieutenant governors has been implemented by the Indian government in the occupied area. It is reported that Gujarat’s Girish Chandra Murmu will take oath as the first lieutenant governor of Jammu and Kashmir; Girish Chandra Murmu belongs to Modi’s Gujarat state, while Radha Kishan Mathur will be sworn in as Lieutenant Governor in Ladakh. It should be noted that on August 5, Article 370A was canceled by the Modi government and the special status of Jammu and Kashmir was abolished. It has been 88 days since India launched a new humanitarian phase of cruelty on Kashmiris by imposing curfew in the valley. Schools, colleges and business centers are closed in the Valley, transportation and all kinds of communication are cut off, Kashmiris have been locked up in houses, and thousands of Kashmiris have been arrested and disappeared.
