Last month, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Sudan made progress towards normal relations with Israel through mediation in 2020 by the administration of former US President Donald Trump. Following in his footsteps, Morocco is also improving relations with Israel. Palestinians have condemned the agreements reached with Israel. When the Trump administration tried to isolate Israel, Israel’s arch-enemy, it sought to make deals with business opportunities or promises of economic aid. Israel’s new partners have also benefited bilaterally from Washington. In the case of Rabat, the United States has recognized its sovereignty over the Western Sahara. The Israeli Ministry of Economy announced on Sunday that the two countries had reached an agreement to boost trade and economic cooperation. The ministry said both sides were interested in signing the agreement within two weeks.

On the other hand, the cabinet of the United Arab Emirates has unanimously approved the opening of an embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel. According to the international news agency, on the social networking website Twitter, the government of the United Arab Emirates has announced that it has received the approval of the cabinet and will soon open an embassy in Tel Aviv. The statement did not provide further details. The tweet said that the Council of Ministers, headed by Economy Minister Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, has approved the reorganization of the Board of Directors of the Securities and Commodities Authority and the establishment of an embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel. The United Arab Emirates and Israel reached a landmark agreement in August last year to establish diplomatic relations between the two countries, but air ties between the two countries was immediately restored. It should be noted that the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco have signed an agreement to restore relations with Israel and the United States has played a key role in this, in which President Trump and his son-in-law Jared Kushner Had a personal interest.
