To end the political crisis in Iraq, President Berham Salih has suspiciously asked Adnan al-Zurfi to form a cabinet with al-Nasr ally Nasir ally having two seats in parliament. Other political parties in the country expressed reservations over the president’s decision, calling the decision a violation of the constitution. Political parties, expressing their dissatisfaction with Adnan al-Zurfi, have agreed to three names in the joint session, but they have not yet been made public. In this regard, Mukhtar al-Mousavi, the representative of the Ittehad al Fatah, said after the meeting at the residence of Ammar al-Hakim, the head of the political party Wise. Those Shia political parties have agreed to oust Adnan al-Zurfi. He told the news agency al-Ahad that the parties had agreed on three names for the ministries. One of whom will be invited to make a cabinet.

Meanwhile, Iraqi observers and political parties have identified Adnan al-Zurfi as a protector of US interests. According to local media, analysts say the US support for President Salih’s immediate assignment to Al-Zarifi is proof of this that the United States has succeeded in forming an allied government in Iraq.
