News Time

As the days go by, the Senate elections are entering an interesting phase and at the same time, its mystery is growing. Asif Zardari’s timely decisions have a big impact on the whole Senate. Otherwise, PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman was of the opinion that by resigning from the assemblies and dissolving the Sindh Assembly, he would sabotage the Senate elections اnd that the government should be given such a tough time that the rulers themselves will be forced to leave everything and go home. In this regard, some PML-N supporters were also in favor of Maulana’s position but a large number of PML-N MLAs were not ready to resign. If Maulana’s word had been obeyed, there would have been a sharp split in both the PPP and the PML-N. More than 150 resignations of this statement of Maryam Nawaz have come to me. It was a white lie.

The PPP does not want to leave the Sindh government in any way, nor does it want any other political party or alliance to have a strong base in Sindh province, so the PPP has been pursuing a no-confidence motion against the current government. Statements were made and it was said that the opposition would send the current government home through a no-confidence motion. Then came the statement from the PPP that it would run in the by-elections and the Senate elections, while PDM chiefs Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Maryam Nawaz were of the opinion that no elections should be held but the entire PD Asif Zardari’s decision prevailed in the M and both the major parties of PML-N and JUI alliance were ready to contest the by-elections. The result of this decision and the by-election results breathed new life into the ailing body of the PDM.

If you look at the current government’s worries seem to be growing Imran Khan also seems to be worried that he has won only one seat in Karam, PTI lost in Karachi, PPP in the Thar area by a huge margin Imran Khan lost in his hometown Nowshera. The decision of Sialkot, Daska seat is pending on which PML-N has demanded re-polling in the entire constituency while PTI has spoken of re-polling in 20 polling stations. PML-N says that earlier votes were stolen and elections were stolen and now it is the turn of the election staff to be stolen and the election staff did not come to Daska. Whatever the decision, the overall situation is that the PDM has been encouraged by the by-election results and the PTI has gone back on its feet. If re-polling is held in Sialkot, it will be difficult for PTI to win. This does not mean that the PTI’s political position has fallen, but if honestly analyzed, the PTI has won more votes than ever before and has won even after losing. In Nowshera, the JUI has a strong political influence and is capable of winning the seat alone. The PPP also has influence in the region. On the one hand, there are four major political parties, the PPP, the PML-N and Seven other parties, including the JUI-F, the influential ANP, on the one hand, and the PTI alone, on the other, and the organizational chaos of the PTI. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person.

Now for the election of the Senate, the Open Ball Ordinance is pending in the court. Imran Khan says that if the intention is to maintain transparency in the elections, then the Senate elections should be held on open ballot instead of secret ballot. I’m sitting with bags of notes. On 13 May 2006 in London, the PPP and the PML-N signed the Charter of Democracy, a clause stating that, like the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister, Senate elections would be held on open ballot instead of secret ballot a constitutional amendment will also be brought for this but now both the parties are deviating from their own agreement. PDM leaders say Imran Khan does not trust his party members so they want to be elected on open ballot.

In the 2018 elections, 20 PTI members in KPK had traded their conscience, which Imran Khan later expelled from his party. At that time, there were five PPP members in the provincial assembly in KPK. Not a single senator could be elected in light of the number, but from there, two PPP senators were successful in this election if there was no buying and selling. So a large number of PTI senators will be successful, after which the number of PTI senators in the Senate will be more than half. The mystery surrounding the election of the Senate has escalated in such a way that the Open Ballot Presidential Ordinance has been challenged in court and now it is up to the court to decide.

On the other hand, interest in the Senate elections has increased due to Yousuf Raza Gilani. Hafeez Sheikh is a candidate from PTI. The good thing about Raza Gilani is that he is an expert in politics and the bad thing is that he is not a technocrat. Maulana Fazlur Rehman could have been a candidate for the Senate from the PDM, but Asif Zardari has challenged the PTI by fielding Yousuf Raza Gilani in the Senate in such a way that his breath seems to be blowing. It is said that many PTI members of the National Assembly will vote for me in silence. About Jahangir Tareen, he said that I have not met him but he is my relative. Just understand, that is why the Senate election is becoming more interesting day by day.
