Indonesian President Joko Widodo has formally proposed to move the country’s capital from Ganja to Jakarta in the Kalimantan, Borneo area. Indonesian President Joko Widodo on Friday urged parliament to support the proposal to move the capital to the aforementioned island. Kalimantan is located in the middle of the country. However, they did not name the specific location of the island. The Indonesian government decided in April to move outside the capital Java Island, and candidates were being selected. The population of Jakarta and adjoining areas has crossed 3 million. The city’s population has grown dramatically and traffic congestion has caused serious problems.
