What is the special status of occupied Kashmir?
It should be noted that under Article 370, the State of Jammu and Kashmir has a special and unique position and Article Article gives freedom to constitution and maintain it. Article 35A, which gives special status to Occupied Kashmir, is part of this Article. Which gives the Legislative Assembly of the State the authority to define the special rights and privileges of permanent citizens of the state. Article 35 ‘A’ was included in the 1954 Presidential Decree, which grants exclusive rights and privileges to the citizens of occupied Kashmir. According to this article, only a person born in occupied Kashmir can be a citizen there. Under Article 35A, women who are married to a citizen outside the Valley are denied property rights, whereas, under the Constitution, a citizen of another state in India does not have the right to buy property and take up permanent residence in occupied Kashmir. Under Article 35A of the Constitution, the occupied Kashmir government cannot provide citizenship to any other state in their state.
Strict restrictions on curfew style:
