Under Article 35A, women who are married to a citizen outside the Valley are denied property rights, whereas, under the Constitution, a citizen of another state in India does not have the right to buy property and take up permanent residence in occupied Kashmir. Under Article 35A of the Constitution, the occupied Kashmir government cannot provide citizenship to any other state in their state.
