Over 43% of the National Assembly of 2013 there are 115 out of 272 members who have either changed their political loyalty or they are fate as an independent candidate in the 2018 election. Among them, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Danial Aziz, Zahid Hamid, Captain (R) Safdar, Shamshad Sattar Bachani, Tahir Bashir, Ghulam Rabbani Khar, Najaf Sayal, Javed Hashmi, Rai Hassan Nawaz, Sardar Yusuf, Aziz Malik, Iftikhar Cheema and others are included, Chaudhry Khadim is not participating in the election this year, while replacing his son Chaudhry Nadeem Khadim is contesting from the Jammu and Kashmir National Assembly on PMLN tickets. Of the 16 MNAs out of 29, who had won the elections on the N League ticket, are now contesting elections from Punjab on the PTI ticket. Zafar Zulqarnain Sahi is a PTI ticket holder, while his father Colonel (r) Ghulam Rasool Sahi is not fighting this election. Ali Gohar Baloch is contesting election on Faisalabad on the occasion of his father Rajab Ali Baloch this year. Tahir Bashir Cheema is not taking part in the election, while his daughter Fatima Bashir is contesting from PTI’s ticket from Bahawalpur. All persons belonging to Muzaffargarh, Pakpattan, Chiniot and Jhang, who were previously elected as National Assembly members on the Muslim League-N’s ticket, they have changed their loyalty or are not fighting this time. Similarly, the PMA of the PPP which was elected from Badin, Thatta, Ghotgi and Naushero Feroz, they did not change party loyalty, or are not fighting, those MNAs who were first elected from Nankana Sahib, Layyah, Toba Tek Singh and Sheikhupura, did not change their party loyalty.
