Government of Pakistan has decided to confiscate and manage financial assets of two organizations associated with Hafiz Mohammad Saeed Jamaat-ud-Dawa and Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation. According to foreign news agency Reuters, the government has decided to confiscate assets of welfare and other organizations related to Jamaat-ud-Dawa’s head Hafiz Mohammad Saeed. The news agency has claimed in a report that international organizations looking at financial cooperation and money laundering to terrorists were organized at a high level meeting in Islamabad on December 19, on the Financial Action Task Force report, In which provincial and federal institutions were directed to collect details of Hafiz Saeed’s assets and to take them into government custody. A high level review meeting was held on December 28 for the implementation of Decisions of December 19. In which relevant federal and provincial institutions and intelligence agencies submitted a detailed report. According to the intelligence agencies report, thousands of volunteers and hundreds of salary people are associated with Jamaat-ud-Dawa and Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation; it was found in the meeting that the Jamaat-ud-Dawa and Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation will be taken into account for the first phase under the strategy. After which hundreds of madrassas and marine-based centers administered by Jamaat-ud-Dawa will be managed. In this process intelligence agencies will also cooperate with the relevant departments. Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has said that he has directed relevant officials on the decision of both organizations of Hafiz Saeed. To stop the way out of all donor organizations working in the country and this move has raised us on the American pressure rather than being a responsible country. On the other hand, the Security and Exchange Company (SECP) banned the donations and donations of other banned organizations including Jamaat-ud-Dawa, including UN Watch List, which have also been issued. The Security and Exchange Commission said in its notification that according to the Skills 453 of the Companies Act 2017, all companies have been ordered that they do not allow organizations and individuals present at the UN Economic Banerals Committee list however, those who violate this order will be fined up to one crore rupees. Jamaat-ud-Dawa expresses complete dissatisfaction with this type of news, saying that any such thing can be done after the government’s issued orders.
