Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s two former allies unaware of the totalitarian system of governance have announced the establishment of separate new political parties and they may prove to be a challenge to the ruling party’s justice and development (AK) in the future. Before Ahmet Davutoğlu, the former deputy prime minister, foreign minister and finance minister Ali Babacan announced the formation of a new political party.

As a result of the economic and political policies of the Erdo ۔an government led by President Erdogan, the country has suffered from economic crisis and unemployment rate has increased significantly. This is why Turkish voters are getting angry with the ruling elite. He expressed this in the last local elections held in Turkey and was out of control of Istanbul and Ankara, and the opposition candidate has been elected mayor. Both parties can attract voters who are dissatisfied with AK’s performance. And they can have the support of Turkish citizens in the form of a good and progressive manifesto.

According to media reports, Ahmet Davutoğlu’s public opinion was 34 percent Turks backed by a public opinion poll while the proportion of public support for Ali Babacan’s party is 8%.Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has not previously issued a statement about Ahmet Davutoğlu or Ali Babacan but last week both of them and their former allies were accused of fraud at the state-owned constituency bank and said that Ahmet Davutoğlu had approved loans from this bank for the establishment of Sahar University in Istanbul.

It should be noted that this university was established by the former Turkish Prime Minister. He had responded in Turkey to the Turkish president’s accusation and demanded parliament inquire into the assets of President Erdogan, his family members, former and current top officials. He also presented himself for investigation and said that he should be questioned about the matter.

Ahmet Davutoğlu resigned from AQ membership in September. Then the ruling party was preparing to oust them and justify it. That the former Prime Minister had issued a manifesto contradicting President Erdogan’s policies and thus violated the discipline of the party. Ahmet Davutoğlu was Turkish Foreign Minister from 2009 to 2014. He became Prime Minister that same year and held that office until 2016. Then he was fired by President Erdogan and replaced Binali Yıldırım as prime minister. Tayyab Erdogan has taken over many of the powers through a referendum held in 2017 and ended his term as Prime Minister.
