English language education has been banned in all the official and private primary schools of Iran. According to the foreign news agency Mahdi Naveed, head of Iran’s High School High Commission, has said Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said in his statement that teaching English in a lesser extent increases the chances of closing children’s western culture, In this context, the Iranian government has banned English education in all public and private primary schools. And now there will be a law against any public or private primary school curriculum to include English education. Mehdi Naveed said that this is done because it is believed that Iranian culture is not strengthening in primary school students. Therefore, there are possibilities of ban on English’s non-curriculum classes in Iran. On the other hand, Khamenei said in his statement that the ban on English language in primary schools does not mean learning foreign languages. Rather, foreign culture is to oppose the promotion of children, youth and youth in the country.
