German Chancellor, considered to be the world’s most powerful woman, is being sunset over Angela Merkel’s power, but they want to form a Europe, which is powerful and defends their values. Germany, France, Italy, Belgian, Holland and Luxembourg signed March 11, 1957, a European Union-based Rome agreement. The European Economic Community (EEC) pledged to expand the internal and external trade. Britain initially remained avoiding becoming a member of the EU but in 1973 Ireland and Denmark along with Britain became part of this block. However, the British public approved it by a referendum in 1975. EU, Germany, France, Holland, Belgian, Poland, Spain, Denmark, including Sweden alliance is a member of Europe’s 28 countries. There were political and economic goals for its establishment. 18 of the 28 member countries use the same currency euro.
Angela Merkel believes that at the same time European values are being attacked and the principle of European solidarity is being ignored, it is difficult to talk to anybody alone that is why it is necessary to stand together with shoulder to shoulder together. German Chancellor also proposed to form the European Security Council which will improve the security of the European Union as well as security policies. Many European countries, including Germany and France, want to make European troops more than US, China and Russia while trying to strengthen the Euro more than the dollar. Germany and France have a stand that unless we are a real European army until then, safety of people living in Europe is not possible. The European Union-based organization is facing threats over recent decades than ever. From Germany, France to Finland, conservative public and racist groups are being stressed in Europe throughout Europe. Especially the European Union has been divided after the arrival of refugees in the EU.
In view of this situation, Europe itself is threatened by the existence of a crisis with another crisis. EU members are not in a position to counter the challenges of this era of globalization. Nationalism has never solved the problems, but has always created new issues. The German Chancellor is criticized by the German politicians, with the most right views criticized by a friend-friendly policy. Angela Merkel wants Germany’s positive image to be restored and the German society should be prevented from being conservative. Other countries, including Germany, France, want European reforms regarding rising extremism and nationalism and think that resistance is needed.
On the other hand, the US President Donald Trump separated from the Environmental Agreement and from the decision to imposed duties on goods imported from Europe the EU’s negative impact on the future. At such time when allied nations such as the US, multilateral trade and are getting back from environmental-related agreements. Europe’s thinking with Germany is that Europe wants to work with the US but he will never allow the US to weaken the EU.
The EU believes that recent policies of the Donald Trump have created direct threats to Europe’s security. That is why the EU, including Germany, wants to consider re-engaging with the United States so that we can make the European Union a bridge. Another important reason for the EU’s demand for reform is Britain’s expulsion; Brexit scenes make pain for European nails. Finally the Brexit Agreement between the EU and the UK has been fixed. This agreement will be fully implemented by December 2020. In addition to the other many conditions, the UK will also give its share in the EU budget in 2019 and 2020. Money transactions between the EU and Britain can be up to 39 billion pounds. In order to avoid any such situation in the future, Germany and France want to unite the EU and reform the EU. If the European Union does not make quick reforms, the EU will be in danger.
