A dozen Chinese warplanes have flown over Taiwan’s airspace. Taiwan’s Defense Ministry said four Chinese bombers and eight fighter jets entered southwestern Taiwan yesterday. Taiwan’s air force then deployed missiles to monitor the alleged operation. Taiwan seceded from the Beijing government after the 1949 civil war, but China’s ruling Communist Party still considers Taiwan part of China. It should be noted that this is not the first time, but even two months ago, Chinese warships went to the borders of Taiwan. Taiwan’s Defense Ministry has urged China to refrain from such actions to disrupt peace in the region. “The next day, Chinese planes crossed the Taiwan Strait and entered our territory,” he said.
