Bangladesh to move Rohingya refugees to a non-residential on Bhashan Char Island

Dhaka … News Time

The Bangladesh government is trying to shape a non-settled island in Gulf Bengal whereas, these lakhs of Rohingya refugees can be kept, and who escaped from the military operations against Myanmar in this country. But this question still demands an answer whether Bhashan Char Island will be a suitable place for many people to live. Thousands of Rohingya Muslims have left Bangladesh to escape their homes and personal equipment by leaving their homes in Myanmar. Although they have liberated themselves from brutal situations, they face new problems in staying in refugee camps in Bangladesh.

Supporting the international community, Bangladesh’s government in Bhashan Char Island a residential town is building. Bhashan Char Island, which emerges from the ocean in 2006, is an hour long distance from the boat to the main Bangladesh.  And it faces severe weather risks. Members of the international community are emphasizing   before all the Rohingya refugees migrate there, all technical requirements should be met to secure the island.

US Deputy Foreign Minister Alice G. Wells for South and Central says that we expect the United Nations to take full technical examination of the island. I believe that as long as those Rohingya Breeds get the right to join the program in Bhashan Char Transfer program, and that the technical requirements are completed, the international community will help them. But this is a process that is still under consideration and overview.

This construction is in the last phase of completing several months behind its scheduled time. But most of the refugees are suspicious about recent migration. Some environmental experts warn that no storm or any other natural trauma can cause severe damage to this island. But Meezan-ul-Rahman, Bangladesh’s Deputy Commissioner for Refugees Assistance says that the new residential area should provide better conditions for those refugees of Rohingya. They say that on the side of the group, there are 8 individual families. Each building will feature a community kitchen and community bath. Every kitchen will have 16 stalls. These kitchens are made of brick and tan. The walls are made of bricks and ceiling tanks. Bangladesh is a country of a very subtle region in the world. Hundreds of people have died in natural disasters in Bangladesh in the last 50 years, especially in Bhashan Char coastal areas near the island.
