By the way, he has been in politics for the last 30/35 years, but in practice, this political color has emerged more after 2008. He still does many things behind the scenes, such as the political operation in Balochistan before the 2008 elections that led to the emergence of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) from the womb of the PML-N, the former and the current chairman of the Senate, Sadiq Sanjarani, is a product of that. This time, Kamal Zardari surprised both the government and the opposition, despite the majority of the ruling coalition in the National Assembly, former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani was elected senator and the prime ministerial candidate Hafeez Sheikh lost. Imran Khan’s anger can be gauged from his speech after the vote of confidence.
On the other hand, without knowing what is going to happen next? All PDM parties, including Maryam Nawaz, called it a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister and demanded new elections. The celebration was not yet over when he was joined in the election of the chairman of the Senate. The camera scandal also came to light and 7 rejected votes in favor of Mr. Gilani. Here, too, the opposition appeared to be one language. The issue of Ali Gilani’s video is still unresolved. But in general, the government did nothing but turn the tide. In any case, Zardari did not just want to make Gilani a senator, so he made him the Leader of the Opposition by sacrificing the PDM. Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Maulana Fazlur Rehman were all as shocked and upset as Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Now the ideological thing is that in fact Zardari himself made a political sacrifice of his own party PPP or PPP but all this does not make sense in his politics. He has given the title of political actor to the critical anchors in 2010 anyway. Interestingly, however, all the analysts and anchors who were targeting Gilani when he became a senator are calling him Zardari’s political expertise when he became the Leader of the Opposition. Prime Minister Imran Khan, who was furious at Gilani’s becoming the center, is happy with the growing differences between the PML-N and the PPP, and perhaps in the same joy, the meeting was also held without knowing what message it conveyed to the people.
Zardari skillfully formed a coalition government with the PML-N after winning the 2008 elections, but did not restore the deposed judges, including former Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, as promised, which led to ties with Nawaz Sharif. They went bad and announced a long march in 2009. Zardari became the first president, Gilani the prime minister and speaker of the National Assembly and chairman of the Senate sub-PPP. The impression that there was a friendly opposition relationship between the Muslim League and the PPP is also wrong. Zardari remembered the long march, Governor Raj in Punjab, and then Mian Sahib wearing a black coat and disqualifying Gilani from the higher judiciary. He also remembered how his close friends, Dr Asim Hussain and others were arrested while Mian Sahib was the Prime Minister in 2015. He even said angrily that Mian Sahib had stabbed him in the side. Now Mian Sahib kept explaining that he had no hand in this action. He did not even want to postpone lunch but probably postponed the matter at the request of Chaudhry Nisar and Khawaja Asif.
Mr. Zardari was in a lot of trouble over the statement of playing brick by brick and that is the day and today is just busy laying bricks with bricks. The rest is up to you, but it does not matter that the PML-N has fielded a candidate who has been a lawyer for the alleged perpetrators of Benazir Bhutto’s assassination. At least you don’t do that. In his style of politics, he became a good polo player, he is also an example in political chess, but where does the party that could not limit the end of the worst dictatorship stand today?
