In 2019, Saudi Arabia provided 174.7 million dollars in aid to Palestine, which was reduced to only 32.5 million dollars in 2020 aid to Palestine from around the world, which was 538.3 million dollars in 2019 and decreased to 369.7 million dollars in 2020. Aid has been declining since the four rich Arab states recognized Israel and established relations with Israel. The Palestinian government is currently in a severe financial crisis, with no funds to pay the salaries of government employees.
On the other hand, the United Nations has expressed concern over the demolition of Palestinian houses in the Palestinian territories, especially in West Jordan and the Jordan Valley, and called on Israel to immediately stop its campaign to demolish Palestinian homes and other property. Balakrishnan Rajagopal, the UN body responsible for human rights in the Palestinian territories, told a press conference with Michael Lynk, a human rights official in the Palestinian territories, that habitable buildings in the Jordan Valley and demolition of property is unacceptable. Israeli army demolition operations in the Jordan Valley have displaced 60 people, including 35 children, at Humsa.
