In Indonesia, ash was scattered far away from the volcanic eruption. Volcano Mount Merapi began to burn ashore on Friday near the Yogyakarta, the cultural capital of Indonesia, according to news agencies. From the volcano eruption, ash rose 5,000 meters (16,000 feet) into the atmosphere, and it covered several kilometers.
