Following his statement, the newspaper, Kayhan, the hardline Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has criticized President Rouhani. On Thursday, Hussein Shariatmadri, editor in chief of “Kayhan” and representative of the Iranian leader, said in his editorial that President Rouhani’s statements about dialogue and resistance were contradictory and contrary to the direction of the leader’s revolution. Khamenei said in a speech on the 40th anniversary of the occupation of the former US embassy in Tehran that those who think that negotiating with the US solves our problems are 100% wrong. Any kind of negotiation with the Americans will not yield any results because they certainly will not bring any concessions. Earlier on Tuesday, President Hassan Rouhani addressed a function that resistance is not just with slogans, but with science, knowledge, effort, work and dialogue, resistance is not a negotiation but it is negotiable. The path is smooth.
