The International Olympic Committee intends to hold emergency talks with the heads of sports organizations in the wake of the spread of the Coronavirus. The talks will be held online on Tuesday. A number of qualifying competitions for the Tokyo 2020 Games, including badminton, wrestling and baseball, have been lifted after the virus was canceled or postponed. The Olympic torch relay race in Greece was suspended Friday, just one day after the Olympia race began on Thursday. The participants of the planned teleconference are expected to discuss dealing with the situation arising from canceled qualifying contests. Focusing now on sports organizations ‘reaction to the organizers’ response to the Tokyo Games plan, is now being focused.
