Bjorn Fortuin, a young South African bowler, converted to Islam on his wedding day. The report said that the cricketer converted to Islam on the morning of April 25, 2021 after marriage and changed his name to Emad. The young cricketer was also married today and his bride’s name is Mieshke Aysen and the wedding ceremony is held after Iftar. According to the report, Bjorn Fortuin also released a photo in his Instagram post and said that he has given martyrdom in the holy month of Ramadan and his name is Emad. “Bjorn Fortuin, Alhamdulillah, converted to Islam last night during the month of Ramadan. He has chosen the name Emad and is proud of it.” It may be recalled that the cricketer had represented South Africa in the recent series against Pakistan, while his left-arm fast bowler Wayne Parnell had also converted to Islam.
