Prime Minister Hun Sen’s party in Cambodia has claimed 125 seats in the general election. However, global critics have not corrected the opinion; he says that due to historical success, the government has got hold of opposition to the opposition. A spokesman for the ruling Cambodian People’s Party says that based on the results released by the Election Commission, yet one of the remaining 19 parties has not won the single seat.

The critics have declared the elections fake and said that Hun Sen’s government is adopting the rule of power over the power bill. The action was taken against the media and the country’s leading opposition party was kept away from opinion. In November, the Supreme Court had dismissed the Cambodian National Rescue Party by dismissing it. His leader Kem Sokha was arrested for treason; however, they reject this charge.

Sam Rainsy, former leader of the banned Cambodian National Rescue Party, says we are going to make a peaceful protest. Sam Rainsy says, the result of the opinion was fixed. They say that the people of Cambodia need to ban Hun Sen’s government from the international community. The international response is also coming in this regard. In a statement issued by White House, it was said that the elections were not free and fair, and failed to represent the wishes of the people of Cambodia. The statement further states that administration of US President Donald Trump is considering his reaction, it says that imposing visa restrictions on some members of the Cambodia government can be encouraged.
