According to Saudi Arabia’s interior ministry spokesman Major General Mansour al-Turki said legislation and Code of Conduct are being developed regarding women’s driving. The minimum age of women authorized to run is 18 years. Speaking to the Al Arabiya Channel, Major General Mansour al-Turki said that the decision to allow women’s driving to be clear, according to the implementation of clear rules. Like the whole world, Saudi government has also set the minimum age limit for both men and women 18 years of age. 18 years of age will be able to get driving licenses. In a joke of a question, spokesman for the Interior Minister Major General Mansour al-Turki said police will be deployed on the roads in all the cities with traffic police. Security officials will help them in troubleshooting problems during driving. Prior to the Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef said security services are ready to apply equally to traffic rules on men and women throughout the country. He said in a statement on Thursday that women will be safely guided to run vehicles. And driving will be transformed into an educational process. This will also reduce the losses and financial losses in case of accidents. He further added that both men and women of traffic specification issued for applying new decree is a historic move by King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud and Prince Mohammad Bin Salman.
