CPP President cum Prime Minister Hun Sen speaks on the last day of the election campaign

Phnom Penh … News Time

Political candidates in Cambodia have completed their election campaign for the general elections on Sunday. However, Cambodia has international concern about the situation of democracy. Prime Minister Hun Sen’s ruling party has taken action against the opposition and the media and there is no challenge in practice in practice. Cambodia National Rescue Party, opposition party, had achieved a lot of progress in the general elections 5 years ago, due to a major reason for the support of young people. Many Cambodian citizens are well aware that the decision to revoke this party was politically raised. But many of them say they do not want to be involved in politics. They know that in criticism of the government they can be scared or even worse. There is a feeling of insecurity in the country. We will look at the rate of voters. If this rate was less than 50% or ruled by almost all the seats so it will raise questions on the transparency of the election. The United States and the EU have already stopped their support because of concern over the transparency of the election and in my opinion; they will not accept the results of the election too. Despite the international criticism, Hun Sen’s government has adopted a strong attitude with China’s support.

China has invested billions of dollars in the Cambodia country which helps in the development of Cambodia’s economy. As far as Japan is concerned, it is providing Cambodia to these elections. However, Japan and some other countries will face difficulties in continuing with their relationship with Hun Sen’s government.
