The death penalty has been abolished in various countries of the world, but most countries, including Pakistan, are still where it applies to various crimes. But in every country, the way to execute the accused is different, which you may not be aware of. Here are the methods of execution worldwide.

Toxic injection

The death penalty for poisoning vaccine in the United States is based on the principle that a vaccine will infect an individual and that the person’s face is hidden. In most US states, the poisoning vaccine is administered to inmates, while machines were used in some places, but were terminated due to technical errors. Penthol is commonly used for toxic injections, which is also commonly used for anesthesia for patients during operation. However, the amount is kept at 150 milligrams while for the convicted prisoner the amount is five thousand milligrams, while potassium chloride and other poisons are also used.

Electric chair

The death penalty is practiced in the United States as well, but is limited to Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, Virginia and a few other states. In this procedure the prisoner is tied to a metal bandage on a chair while a wet sponge is placed on his head, after which the first 2,000 watts of electricity are usually left on the chair for 15 seconds. This leaves the prisoner unconscious and the heart fails to function, but often the second time the current is released, which damages the internal organs. The sentence was first implemented in New York in 1890.

Gas chamber

The execution of the death sentence through the gas chamber is also done in the United States, but it was first adopted in German prisons during World War II, killing millions of people. The procedure is now implemented in 5 US states but the last time the death sentence was in 1999, since then, the chamber is no longer working, instead prisoners are given the choice of either gas chambers or toxic injections.

In this way the prisoners are locked inside the chamber and released potassium cyanide in the form of a knife through a small box under the chair. Since the chamber is completely closed and the poisonous gas is released, the prisoner’s breath is stopped while it is said to be a very painful procedure.

Firing

Firing is the most common method of execution worldwide and has been adopted in more than 70 countries, although firing squad is used for this purpose in most countries, only one person is used for this purpose. In the Soviet Union, only one shot was shot in the head while it was still processed in China. Similarly, in Taiwan, the drug is inserted into the body of a prisoner first and then fired on his heart.

Firing squad

The method of using a firing squad often varies from country to country, but usually the prisoner’s eyes are tied with black stripes and hands. The squad, consisting of several people, then fires at a prisoner and usually a shooter fires a bullet. This approach was inspired by the arrows of the ancient Rome, which bore the prisoners of death to the arrows on the tree. This approach has been adopted in many countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, and others.

Hanging

And for this, the prisoner is tied to the neck with a rope strapped to the gallows and then taken off the plate, as a result, he goes from shock to deep and often suffers from neck fracture, whereas if not, he suffers from asthma.

Behead

In Saudi Arabia, Japan, and many other countries, beheadings are preferred for the death penalty, which uses a sharp sword. By the way, this method is very old and events are being recorded in ancient Rome and Greece for its implementation.

Gluten

Gluten is in fact a machine in which a heavy blade is placed in an 8- to 10-foot-high frame of wood, and with the removal of the knife, the blade comes down sharply and breaks the prisoner’s head. This procedure became popular in France after the revolution and was implemented in the same country, in 1981, however, the execution was halted after the death sentence was banned.

Stoning

The process of throwing stones at the accused, also known as stoning, is mentioned not only in the present era but also in ancient Greece. But now it is limited to the Islamic countries, in which it is implemented for the punishment of adultery, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Iran, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates are noteworthy in these countries, while in 1979 under Ziaul Haq’s rule, it was approved in Pakistan under the ordinance but it was officially approved. Never implemented.

Knock with a trap

This is the second method on the list that is no longer used in any country, but it is still trained in some countries, for this death sentence, the prisoners were tied in a chair-shaped machine and tied to the neck with a solid bandage, if severely tightened, the suffocation would result in the death of the prisoner.
