Beijing … News Time

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he wished he could follow the example of Chinese President Xi Jinping and put 500 corrupt people in jail in Pakistan. Addressing a conference on trade and investment opportunities between Pakistan and China at the China Council for the Promotion of World Trade in Beijing, he greeted the people on the 70th National Day of China. “We saw how China struggled and learned from its mistakes, and today China is one of the fastest growing economies in the world,” he said. Imran Khan said that China learned from Pakistan at one time but now it is time for Pakistan to learn from China, personally, what impressed me with China was the removal of 70 million people from poverty in 30 years that has never happened in human history. He said that Pakistan needs to learn from China the most important thing is how they got people out of poverty and what I understand so far is that China allowed business to become wealthy, they focused on their special economic zones, exports, invested in the outside world and made money that was spent on the poorest sections of society. While in Pakistan we want to follow the same procedure.

In my speech, Imran Khan said that the other thing I learned from China was dealing with corruption, President Xi Jinping’s biggest war is against corruption, in the last 5 years he has punished and imprisoned about 400 people at the level of ministries, while I read in the newspapers that a ton of gold was recovered from a Chinese mayor’s house and was punished in five days. At the same time, Imran Khan said, “I wish I could have followed the example of President Xi Jinping and put 500 corrupt people in jail in Pakistan” however, the Prime Minister said that this process is ‘very complicated’ in Pakistan. He said that what not only Pakistan but other developing countries need to learn from this is that corruption stops investment, corruption is one of the biggest obstacles to investment in the country.

During the address, the Prime Minister said that since his government came to power, he decided to ease investment in Pakistan and ‘we want these people to make a profit in Pakistan’. He said, “The Prime Minister’s Office is providing opportunities to investors in our country, the process of facilitating business is underway from the Prime Minister’s Office and we have now established C-Pack Authority. Because we had problems with the C-Pack projects, it was due to the various ministries. However, he said that now we have decided that there will be an authority that will solve all the problems of C-pack. And this authority will be in the Prime Minister’s Office so that my office can facilitate investors in Pakistan. On this occasion, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan has taken various steps including completion of Phase One of Gwadar Free Zone. At the same time, Imran Khan said that Pakistan has a lot to invest in industrial circles through its Special Economic Zones (SEZs), including its strategic location, its young population and economic recovery in the country, especially to facilitate business. There are reasons.

In his address, Imran Khan also named these sectors and said that Pakistan, in the oil and gas sectors including textile, manufacturing, IT and financial services, physical and technological logistics, tourism and hospitality, food processing and agriculture, housing. The Chinese want investment. The Prime Minister emphasized that it is time to invest in Pakistan. He said that the Prime Minister’s Office will deal with the major investors in our country and that the C-pack will also be seen again from the Prime Minister’s Office.

Guard of Honor presented to Prime Minister:

Moving forward, he said, “This is a great time in Pakistan because we have opened our country for business, so this is a great opportunity for people to come and invest because we have changed the mindset in Pakistan and we want businesses to come and make money. In addition, the Prime Minister visited the Great Hall of People in Beijing, where he was received by the Chinese counterpart. According to Radio Pakistan, the Guard of Honor was presented to the Prime Minister on the arrival of the Great Hall, while the national anthem of both Pakistan and China was played at the opening ceremony.
