A top US defense official has said efforts to persuade South Korea to review a separation decision with Japan on a secret defense information exchange agreement will continue. According to Japanese media, Assistant Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Randall G. Schriver interviewed Japanese media at the Pentagon, according to Japanese media, that the GSOMIA expires on November 23, a military information protection agreement between the two countries. He said tensions between Japan and South Korea is only beneficial for countries such as Russia, China and North Korea.
