The Interior Ministry has allowed former Prime Minister and PML-N leader Mian Nawaz Sharif to go abroad and he will leave for London tomorrow. Interior Ministry allows Nawaz Sharif to go abroad in light of Lahore High Court verdict but his name will still be on the Exit Control List (ECL). Nawaz Sharif has been allowed to leave the country only once.

Nawaz Sharif will leave for London at 10 am tomorrow. Aviation sources say air ambulance from Qatar will reach Lahore airport at 8.45am for which the Lahore Airport Administration has completed the preparations. The air ambulance will leave Hajj terminal with Sharif family and Nawaz Sharif will be accompanied by Shahbaz Sharif and Dr. Adnan. The Lahore High Court has allowed Nawaz Sharif to go abroad for 4 weeks while the government conditions have been suspended and the period could be extended if his health is not improved.

The Islamabad High Court had granted bail to Nawaz Sharif on medical grounds and suspended his sentence for eight weeks. The government allowed Nawaz Sharif to go abroad once for 4 weeks for which £ 80 million, US $ 20.5 million, a deposit of Rs 1.5 billion was made. The Lahore High Court, however, suspended the government’s terms. It should be noted that Nawaz Sharif was sentenced to seven years imprisonment in Al-Azizia reference and a fine of Rs 1.5 billion and $ 250 million, since which time he was imprisoned in Kot Lakhpat Jail Lahore.
