Karachi … News Time

From Asif Zardari to Khurshid Shah, the top leadership of the PPP has fallen under the auspices of the NAB. However, sources say that the possible arrest of Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah will prove to be the heaviest for the party. Because of this arrest, the province is in danger of political change. For which the government has been pushing for the past one year. Ummat reported on August 21, 2019, that the arrest of Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and Khurshid Shah was approaching on page 3. Khurshid Shah is now arrested. Sources say that against Murad Ali Shah, the investigation into the payment of Rs 16 billion to the Omni Group in the name of rehabilitation of Thatta Sugar Mills, Sindh’s ill-fated industries and subsidizing six small power plants in Sindh Important evidence has been obtained. After that, permission has been obtained from NAB’s authorized authority to arrest them. On Tuesday, the NAB directed Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to appear in the Karachi Bureau. In this connection, a special team of NAB Rawalpindi had arrived in Karachi. However, Murad Ali Shah did not appear before the team, justifying some engagements. Sources claim that Murad Ali Shah feared his arrest at the hearing. So they refrained from appearing. However, sources said the message has been conveyed to the Chief Minister to ensure that the NAB is presented. Because it would not be appropriate to stop the vehicle and arrest them on the way. So they can avoid this potential abuse.

According to sources, after this warning advice, Murad Ali Shah has decided to appear before the NAB. They were summoned by the NAB on September 24. At the same time, the Chief Minister has been advised to bring along with him all the records of Daudu and Thatta Sugar Mills. Murad Ali Shah is also alleged to have sold these sugar mills at a very good price as the finance minister. Sources say that Murad Ali Shah’s arrest on the occasion of the September 24 meeting was not possible. However, further delays in the proposed arrest are now being considered to minimize the immediate effects of Khurshid Shah’s recent arrest. But this delay will not take much longer that it has already been prepared.

Sources in Islamabad’s government circles say that the possible arrest of Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah will prove to be the heaviest on the PPP, in which case the party will have to elect a new leader. Angry members of the PPP may quietly disappear or sit on opposition benches on the eve of the election of a new chief minister. It should be noted that some leaders of the ruling party PTI openly claim that the Provincial Assembly is in contact with 20 to 22 members of the PPP. According to sources, since there is no secret ballot for the election of the chief minister, the supporters sit side by side and the opposition members on the other side. Therefore, it is not possible for the party to betray the horse in the event of horse trading. And this action can be taken by the party chief election commission. However, this is a long process. Even if horse trading happens on the eve of the election of a new leader, the chief minister will be elected. There is no obstacle. However disqualifying the rebel members is a matter of later.

According to sources, the political situation in the province will be created in this potential situation. It will also try to pave the way for Governor Raj in Sindh. However, the government has rejected Governor Raj more than once. However, sources claim that the option is still alive.Regarding the situation arising after the possible arrest of Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, Election Commission of Pakistan has told former Secretary of Pakistan Kanwar Dilshad that the system will continue even if the Chief Minister is arrested. And the provincial assembly will remain intact. However, the party chief has to be appointed leader of the house. Then the new Chief Minister will be re-elected. Kanwar Dilshad further said that the Sindh Assembly currently has a majority of the PPP. Therefore, the PPP will not have any difficulty in appointing its new Chief Minister. But in the current political scenario it is unlikely that the majority of PP will be eliminated by horse trading on the occasion of the election of the Chief Minister. Kanwar Dilshad confirmed that under the 18th Amendment, though a member who voted outside party policy would face incompetence. But on the eve of the election of the leader of the House, if the members of the PPP go beyond the party policy to vote for the opposition candidate, then the chief minister will still be elected. Only then can the party chief, against the rebel members, approach the Election Commission. And then the process of disqualification will last several months. In light of some of his information, Kanwar Dilshad also claimed that after the arrest of Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, there could be a Governor’s rule in Sindh. By appointing the Chief Minister and justifying the political chaos that ensues, the government can suspend the provincial assembly for three months through the governor. And it can be said that during this three months a new leader in the Sindh Assembly will be appointed. There is no constitutional barrier.

The largest supporters of political change in Sindh include parties in the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA). GDA sources claimed the conditions related to the abolition of the PPP government in the province. They are being fulfilled one by one. Those wishing to change the province were clearly told that unless Asif Zardari, Faryal Talpur and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah were arrested. This plan cannot proceed. Of these individuals, only the Chief Minister of Sindh is independent. GDA Evening All parties recognize that MQM is a weapon in the destruction of Karachi and Hyderabad. Therefore, it is not acceptable to take the MQM, the head of the committee formed for these two cities. According to sources, a message has also been conveyed to those who want to change Sindh that Article 149 of the Constitution will not even recognize the process of taking control of the central government under Karachi.
