Protests have begun in several cities in Iran over petrol price hikes. According to reports, on November 15th, the Iranian government had set a quota for the acquisition of energy products, in addition to raising gasoline prices by 50%.According to media reports; the government has increased the price of petrol from 10 thousand rials per liter to 15 thousand rials per liter. This price equals 12.7 US cents. At the same time, each private car will be provided a maximum of only 60 liters of gasoline per month. If more gasoline was purchased, the price would be 30,000 rials per liter.
