Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan will meet US President Donald Trump on July 22 in Washington. Last year, after taking over the office of the ministry, he would be the first official visit to America. Pakistani Foreign Minister Dr Muhammad Faisal told Saturday in a weekly news briefing Imran Khan is visiting a visit to US President Donald Trump. In this meeting, he will discuss the development of bilateral relations between the two countries. Two days before the announcement of Prime Minister’s visit, the US Department of State declared the Baluchistan Liberation Army (BLA) as a global terrorist organization. On this day, a case was registered in Pakistan for alleged financial support and money laundering against 13 leaders including Jamaat-ud-Dawa’s Amir Hafiz Mohammad Saeed and his deputy Abdul Rahman Makki.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi told reporters last month that President Trump invited Prime Minister Imran Khan to visit US in June. But they were unable to visit this because of the National Assembly’s budget meeting. He said that both leaders will discuss important regional issues, including bilateral relations. It is clear that Pakistan has played an important role in launching direct talks between the US and the Taliban.

Now the US wants to make these negotiations successful for ending the last 18 years of war and to resolve the crisis. In this case, he is seeking a Pakistani diplomatic support and wants Pakistan to use its influence to start talks with the Afghan government. While the Taliban have refused to negotiate with the Kabul government and they say it is a puppet government and does not have any real power.
