Former President Pervez Musharraf has challenged the special court’s decision in the Lahore High Court in a serious treason case. According to details, former president Pervez Musharraf filed a petition against the special court conviction in the Lahore High Court, the petition raised an objection to paragraph 66 and requested removal. The petitioner took the stand that the petition against the formation of the special court is pending in the Lahore High Court and the special court has given a decision in a hurry. The petitioner appealed to the court to dismiss the decision of the special court. At the same time, a miscellaneous petition has been filed to keep the execution of former President Pervez Musharraf.

It is to be remembered that in the serious treason case, the special court ordered former President Pervez Musharraf to be sentenced to death under Article 6 for serious treason. A three-member bench of the Special Court of Islamabad, headed by Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth, read the short verdict. The court issued a summary judgment remarks that Musharraf violated the constitution on November 3, 2007. The special court ruled with a majority of two, one. A judge disagreed with the verdict.
