Nepal’s Supreme Court has ordered the reinstatement of Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli’s move to dissolve parliament. According to foreign media, the appeals of the petitioners were heard in the High Court of Nepal. The petitioners told the court that the Prime Minister’s order to dissolve Parliament was unconstitutional. The petitions further said that the court should reject the order of Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli and issue orders for the restoration of Parliament. At the hearing, the high court directed the authorities to reconvene the parliament as soon as possible and convene a session of the parliament within 13 days. It should be noted that the Prime Minister of Nepal had dissolved the parliament two months ago after a vote of no confidence against him. The Communist Party of Nepal welcomed the high court’s decision, saying it was a victory for the constitution and the law.
