Mongolian Prime Minister Khurelsukh Ukhnaa has resigned as prime minister following anti-government protests over his failure to deal with the corona virus. Hundreds of people protested in front of Mongolia’s parliament, according to foreign news agency Reuters. According to local media, people protested outside the parliament in Mongolia over the inhumane treatment of a woman infected with Corona and her newborn. Khurelsukh Ukhnaa said in a statement after his resignation that he should accept responsibility. He further said that the demand of the people should be accepted and the resignation should be accepted by the parliament. The video footage showed a female patient wearing a nightgown with a baby and was transferred to an extraterrestrial quarantine run by Mongolia’s National Center for Communications. The protests were followed by resignations of senior health officials. Mongolia’s deputy prime minister and health minister have also resigned.
